Dr Mark Sedler qualified in Medicine from Liverpool University, thereafter, starting his obstetrics and gynaecology training. Mark was a clinical Research Fellow at the Assisted Reproduction Unit, General Infirmary at Leeds. He gained vast experience, being involved in research projects such as The IVF Vs ICSI study, and clinically with In-Vitro Maturation techniques (IVM).

After completing his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Yorkshire region, Mark took up the post of Consultant Gynaecologist and Reproductive Medicine specialist at CARE Fertility, Manchester, in 2008. He joined the CREATE Fertility Group, as a lead Consultant Clinician, in April 2023.

Mark is a Key Opinion Leader in Pre-implantation Genetic Testing (PGT) of Embryos, having been involved with some of the U. K’s first cases of live birth from embryo testing for chromosomal viability. He has been involved in key research and collaborative studies on PGT, and is the clinical lead on this, for the CREATE Fertility group. He is always involved with the most advanced techniques, being a frequent attender at The Pre-Implantation Diagnosis International Society (PGDIS) meetings, aiming for the optimal outcome for patients.

Mark’s involvement in publications, papers and presentations include Pre-Implantation Genetic Testing of embryos (PGT), being clinical lead for Manchester CARE Fertility, with the world-wide collaborative study of Single embryo Transfer: STAR Study Group, published in Fertility and Sterility; 2019, as well as with Time Lapse microscopy. During his years in Manchester, Mark has had very close working relationships with the orthodox Jewish community, helping to progress one of the most profound supervision services for patients, along with local and international charitable services. Mark has vast experience in all aspects of Reproductive Medicine and Assisted Reproduction, priding himself on giving optimal patient individualisation, care, and attention, in this often difficult and sensitive medical field.
